New Quarterly Alera Flyer to Launch in Q3

An Alera Quarterly Furniture Flyer will be launched in Q3 to help independent dealers increase their share of furniture sales. The 16-page, four-color flyer will feature approximately 200 Alera products, in all major product categories, with products discounted as much as 50% off list. Discounted dealer pricing also will be available to support the promotion. A special introductory price of $.25 per copy is being offered for the third and fourth quarter flyers. Wrong Order Quantity Shown for Private Label Paper

In the Jan./Feb. 2007 issue of OfficeLine magazine an article on private label brands – “A Look At The Buying Decisions of Your Customer,” page 12 -- incorrectly stated that dealers could qualify for United’s Private Label Paper program and their own brand of paper with order quantities as low as one truckload per month. The correct minimum order quantity for new labels is actually four truckloads per month. OfficeLine apologizes for this error.

Dual Jan/San Skus Let Your Customers Purchase How They Want

For 2007 180 new "dual" Jan/San skus have been added to United's Facility Supplies Catalog, bringing the total number to 289. The expansion answers dealers' needs to provide their customers with the flexibility to purchase popular Jan/San items in quantities that make sense for their businesses – smaller quantities for convenience purchases, or cartons for stock-up needs. "CT" and "EA" identifiers can be found at the end of the item numbers for these dual sku's and are quick indicators that both full cartons and smaller quantities are available. UPS Now Preferred Air Freight Vendor
United Stationers has moved to a new preferred vendor for air freight shipments -- UPS. From now on, air shipments will be sent via UPS under all freight programs unless dealers request otherwise. "We anticipate the same outstanding service on air shipments that UPS has long provided for ground-based shipments," said Oran Ashley, United Stationers' vice president, transportation.
